I’m Dominica, the founder and visionary behind this sacred space for spiritual growth, self-care, and transformation. With a deep passion for empowering women—especially women of color—I created the Aurora Collective as a platform where we can explore the messy yet magical journey of spirituality together.
This picture was taken on the first day of the first spiritual retreat I ever attended. I knew when I took this picture in 2022 that my life was going to be forever transformed in the most positive ways -and it has!
My professional path has been as expansive as my purpose.
I hold a Master of Arts in Community Counseling and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Sociology, along with certification as a Life Coach. With nearly 20 years of leadership experience, my journey has taken me through corporate healthcare recruitment and compliance, environmental science, case management in foster care and social services, and transformative work in higher education.
In higher ed, I served as an Associate Dean, leading a team of success coaches dedicated to student achievement. Prior to that, I was the Director of the Center for Career Development, co-founded a district-wide annual Women’s Empowerment Leadership Conference, and developed a two-year Student Leadership Institute. I also served as adjunct faculty, teaching Student Academic Development courses that helped students find clarity and confidence in their academic journey.
Currently, I serve as the Chief Volunteer Services Officer for one of the world’s largest humanitarian organizations, where I lead an extraordinary team supporting thousands of volunteers across 121 counties.
But my passion extends beyond my career. For years, I’ve dedicated myself to creating spaces that inspire connection, growth, and empowerment—whether through leadership programs, career workshops, or retreats. Now, through the Aurora Collective, I’m blending my professional expertise with my personal calling to help women navigate their unique spiritual journeys.

When I’m not creating content or facilitating retreats, you can find me traveling, outdoors with my son and loved ones, reconnecting with the earth and recharging my spirit.
