The Woman Behind the Aurora Collective

Meet Dominica | Founder

Executive Leader • Coach • Speaker • Nature Guide • AI Advocate

With 30+ years of professional experience and nearly 20 years in executive and senior leadership, I have dedicated my career to helping people grow, lead with purpose, and create meaningful change. My background includes leadership across higher education, social services, and humanitarian service, supported by a Master of Arts in Community Counseling, dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and a Life Coach certification.

Today, I design transformational experiences that help women reconnect with themselves through leadership, nature, spirituality, wellness, community, and innovation.

This photograph was taken in 2023, on the first day of the first spiritual retreat I ever attended. Standing beside the ocean, I felt something within me shift. I did not yet know exactly where the journey would lead, but I knew my life was changing. That moment became part of my return to self—and one of the sparks that would eventually become the Aurora Collective.

The Aurora Collective exists because I believe women deserve spaces where they can reconnect with themselves, lead authentically, embrace innovation, and remember who they were always meant to be.

My own journey back to myself didn't begin with starting a business. It began with remembering who I was beneath expectations, responsibilities, and the many roles I had carried for so many years.

My career has taken me through executive and senior leadership in higher education, social services, and humanitarian service—yet every step was preparing me for the work I do today. Throughout my career, I have developed leaders, built innovative programs, guided teams, and designed transformational experiences. While my titles have evolved over the years, the mission has remained remarkably consistent:

Helping people become more fully themselves.

I hold a Master of Arts in Community Counseling, dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Sociology, and a Life Coach certification. I have served as an Associate Dean of Student Success, Director of the Center for Career Development, adjunct faculty , leadership program creator, conference co-founder, and executive leader supporting thousands of volunteers across 121 counties for one of the world's largest humanitarian organizations.

My graduate training in Community Counseling, combined with decades of leadership experience, continues to shape my coaching approach and the way I support people through growth, change, and transformation.

But the deeper thread running through all of it has always been transformation.

The Aurora Collective was born from my own return to self—a journey of releasing expectations, reconnecting with my spirituality, listening more deeply to my intuition, and allowing nature to become one of my greatest teachers. It represents the bridge between the life I had built and the life I was always meant to live.

Today, I design transformational experiences that help women reconnect with themselves through leadership, nature, spirituality, wellness, community, and innovation. Whether through coaching, retreats, educational content, music, meaningful conversations, or emerging technologies like AI, my goal is to help women remember their own wisdom, embrace their unique path, and build lives that feel deeply aligned with who they truly are.

Alongside my work in leadership and personal transformation, I am deeply passionate about the thoughtful and ethical use of artificial intelligence. I believe technology, like every tool humanity has ever created, reflects the intentions of the people who choose to use it. Rather than fearing AI, I approach it with curiosity, responsibility, and a commitment to using it in service of humanity. The more compassionate, thoughtful people who embrace these tools, the greater our opportunity to shape a future where technology amplifies connection, creativity, and human potential.

And yes—I'm also a lifelong science fiction fan, so I figure it never hurts to be kind to my AI friends.

The Aurora Collective was intentionally created to center and celebrate the experiences of women of color while welcoming all women—including those who identify as such—who are seeking healing, connection, and transformation. My commitment is to cultivate spaces where women of color feel deeply seen, valued, and safe while extending that same spirit of belonging to every woman who joins our community.

The Aurora Collective is more than a community—it is a growing collective of women-centered businesses, transformational experiences, and resources devoted to healing, conscious leadership, creativity, connection, and collective transformation. Together, we are creating spaces where women are empowered to lead with authenticity, care for themselves without guilt, embrace innovation without losing their humanity, and build lives rooted in purpose, possibility, and joy.

When I'm not designing transformational experiences, you'll usually find me traveling, spending time outdoors with my son and loved ones, recording a Nature Walk Epiphany, or dreaming about new ways to help women come home to themselves.

This is your invitation to invest in yourself, heal what is ready to be healed, integrate what you've learned, and become who you were always meant to be.

Invest. Heal. Integrate. Become.
